Story Summary:
The chapter begins with Sukuna tormenting Megumi inside his mind. Sukuna berates Megumi for his past actions, including killing his own sister and saving Yuji, who later killed several people. Sukuna tries to convince Megumi that he will never be able to live a normal life and demands that he give up and let Sukuna use his body. However, Megumi realizes that Sukuna is desperate and afraid of dying. The resonance between Sukuna’s fingers would prevent the last finger from carrying Sukuna’s soul when Yuji tears him away from Megumi, causing the other nineteen fingers to disappear.
As Sukuna’s visage withers away, Megumi states that he doesn’t intend to live a normal life going forward. Instead, he wants to try living for someone else’s sake. The barrier for Yuji’s domain shatters apart as Yuji punches Megumi’s body out of Sukuna. The grotesque remains of Sukuna desperately try to grab onto Megumi but fall short and begin to erode away. Panting, Sukuna looks up and finds Yuji staring down at him. Yuji offers Sukuna the option to repossess his body, admitting that Sukuna is a part of him. Yuji believes that everyone is born into the world bearing curses, but whether one becomes a monster or not is up to luck. He feels lucky to have had his grandfather guide him and offers Sukuna the chance to live with him again instead of cursing him.
Sukuna adamantly refuses, saying Yuji’s name for the first time and telling him not to underestimate him, as he is a curse. The little that remains of the King of Curses then disintegrates into nothing. Elsewhere in Shinjuku, Uraume and Hakari notice Sukuna’s demise. Accepting defeat, Uraume states that the sorcerers only won because of Sukuna’s weakness from being an incarnated cursed object, not their own strength. They were simply lucky to be born a thousand years later. Hakari takes the comment as a compliment, causing Uraume to smirk as the ice around their neck melts, decapitating them.
Some time later, Megumi wakes up in bed. After getting dressed, he walks out and finds Yuji and Nobara preparing to surprise him. With the surprise foiled, the three begin to catch up. Yuji explains that he was given two letters by Shoko, who received them from Gojo.
